The Blue & White knew they faced a significant challenge, but responded with an impressive display of commitment and physicality, putting in some huge tackles and competing hard for possession throughout the game.

Outstanding First-Half Defence
Hove applied plenty of pressure during the opening half, but H&B refused to make life easy for their visitors.

Strong tackling across the pitch was backed up by some excellent work at the breakdown, with the girls repeatedly fighting for the ball and securing important turnovers.

That defensive effort restricted Hove to just two scores in the entire first half, sending the teams into the interval with the visitors leading 14–0.

Fighting Until the Final Whistle
Hove continued to demonstrate their quality after the break and eventually found more opportunities to add to their lead.

But there was no drop in commitment from Hastings & Bexhill.

The girls continued to put their bodies on the line, working for one another defensively and digging in against high-quality opposition right through to the final whistle.

Hove eventually secured a 36–0 victory, but H&B can take plenty from the resilience and defensive effort shown against one of the strongest sides they will face.

Individual recognition went to Rosie, who was named Forward of the Match, while Evie earned Back of the Match.

It was a tough test, but also another valuable experience for a developing H&B U16 Girls side — and a performance built on determination, physicality and a refusal to give up.

Full-time: Hastings & Bexhill 0–36 Hove
