The Norfolk under 13 boys turned up to play today in their first match of their tour. Our boys held out under immense pressure for the first half holding the score line to a 25 - 10 to Norfolk.
There were some outstanding plays in the first half with Nathan making some great carries and Romario scorning a try in his first match since returning to the club after a few years break. The boys from Norfolk kept up the pressure making some good plays down the centre channel, which after a few choice words from Jim was soon shut down when the boys started to take the contact and bring the ball to a ruck. Henry also made some great ground a scored our second try of the first half.
In the second half the boys came out stronger and switched on and doing some fantastic supportive plays. Great tackles put in by all the team, keeping Norfolk on the back foot and taking the lead to a 30-25. Again with some great tackles being put in by Oakley (especially for his first match game) and Alfie smashing players into touch. Also worth mentioning was an outstanding try from George, running the length of the pitch for a fantastic score!
Another one of our players who had an outstanding game was Tyler, scoring a great try and also disrupting many a ruck demonstrating some great skills. Despite all the boys hard work the Norfolk team came back to take an incredibly contested game with them scoring a last minute try to make the final score 40-35.
Well done boys for putting on a great last game of the season.
